 To Rise From The Ashes
Gaming Taken from HERE

WOLFENSTEIN

• Activision
• Raven Software , id Software
• Historic First-Person…
• For PS3, PC, Xbox 360
• Release: TBA

After a seven-year hiatus, the Wolfenstein franchise is reborn. Id Software, with internal development teams already devoted to Doom 4 and Rage, has again enlisted the aid of Raven Software, which last worked with id on Quake 4. With Wolfenstein, Raven aims to hold true to the themes that made Wolfenstein 3D and Return to Castle Wolfenstein such hits: intense combat, secret treasure, and a story-driven experience.

The story takes place in Isenstadt, a fictional German city at the height of World War II. When the Allies learn of the Nazis’ nefarious discovery, they send in their own weapon of mass destruction, B.J. Upon arrival, B.J. links up with one of the few resistance groups in the city, the Kreisau Circle. Historically, the Kreisau Circle was a group of German aristocrats planning the future of Germany after the fall of the Third Reich.

Wolfenstein, members are bona fide freedom fighters bent on the destruction of Nazism by any means necessary, which usually involve excessive force. Isenstadt is open for B.J. to explore, and Kreisau safe houses are scattered around the city. There, B.J. stocks up on ammo, receives intelligence, and is assigned missions to aid the resistance. In the mission we saw, the Germans have activated a mysterious new weapon, and B.J. leads a team of Kreisau fighters to blow it to pieces.

 MOON UNIT!
Gaming MOON UNIT is a test server I set up recently. It's low-grav, fall damage is tweaked and so is speed. It's just for goofing off, you can use any weapon you like.

Oddly, and I suppose since it's low-grav and somewhat unique in a game so many take serious, it draws more traffic than the sniper server.

CoD:WW PAM Alpha is released! ...and we're running it :)
Gaming Taken from BashandSlash.

The competitive CoD world has now seen the last of the three major contenders for the throne of World at War mods released.

Bullet-worm's Project Ares Mod for Call of Duty: World at War, also known as PAM:WW was just released in alpha.

It is quite ironic that during CoD4's heyday, when thousands of new players were streaming into tournaments and competitions, the modding world abandoned them, leaving the CoD eSport scene with only an unsupported PAM4 for them to play with.

Now, with the competitive world either deserting CoD:WW or at best gritting their teeth over the prospects of playing it, there are at last count THREE major mods made for competition.

As opposed to the DAMN mod and Promod, which were attempts at combining both a universal ruleset and a mod together, PAM functions as a template which can modified to cater to ANY ruleset.

-----------------

We're running it because it's the best mod out currently, and sniper admins such as myself are itching to get some real game play going.

See our forum if you would like to know how to run this and get clients downloading it.

Finally! CODWW Mod Tools are OUT.
They finally released the mod tools today. While this is not as good as having mod tools on the first day, it's still pretty fast, especially compared to Infinity Ward.

Link is in the forums Smiling

 Treyarch has respectable roots
Gaming I had NO IDEA Treyarch was the original Gray Matter. They worked on the game that started it all for me - Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Read about them vs Infinity Ward here:
bashandslash.com/index...Itemid=105

As I said in COD2, it takes gray matter to make a real game.

I have high hopes for COD:WW. We shall see.
